Additionally, directors must communicate effectively with various stakeholders including producers, writers, and technical teams, to bring the story to life. Ultimately, they are responsible for making key decisions that impact the overall quality and success of the production. Malcolm has had a passion to complete a full feature film for a while now. Once he had a skeleton of an idea he recruited his good friend Jake Cannet and asked him to write a script . The rest is history .
Jake Cannet - Writer
A screenplay writer crafts scripts for films, television shows or other visual media. They develop characters, plotlines and dialogue, ensuring the story flows cohesively and resonates with the audience. Screenplay writers often work with directors and producers, adapting their work based on feedback and production needs. Their creativity and storytelling skills are crucial in bringing stories to life on screen. Jake has written a few scripts and has mastered the craft. He was given the task of writing the script for The Big Hammock and had a blast doing it. Thanks to him it has a cohesive and interesting story with awesome character building and plot twist .
Chaz Webb - Producer
A movie producer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of film production from development to distribution. They work closely with directors, screenwriters and other key personnel to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget. Producers also manage financing, coordinate marketing strategies and legal matters, making them essential to bringing a film to life. Their role requires strong leadership, creativity and excellent communication skills to navigate the complexities of the film industry. Thanks to Chaz for accommodations that allowed the director to bring together this unique story telling masterpiece. With out Chaz this could have never happened.
